The story of Sundiata is the story of a miracle.Sundiata was a predestined child. A predestined child is a child that has been foretold by certain messages. People had been told that he will lead - that he would be a great king and will be a great person. But he was born and he could not walk.

Can you imagine not being able to walk?  Not being able to run with your friends?  Not being able to be part of the whole group?  And one day being able to rise up and walk.)

The story of Sundiata story is the story of life.  It's the story of everybody.  There are times in your life where things are not exactly the way you want them to be, and then one day everything changes. Life takes another direction. That's what happened to Sundiata. He could not walk. He used to be the kid at which everybody laughs because he couldn't walk. One day his mother went to ask his step-mother for some leaves. The step-mother refused to give her some leaves. Not only did she refuse, she also insulted her. Sogolon that day was very saddened and she started losing hope because she was told that Sundiata would be a king. But she had seen so many years pass without being able to see him, her son,  walk.  She knew one day he would walk - but when?
