Short Workshop

Do you want to use visual arts to help students understand the historical movement of people and ideas around the world?

This short workshop will feature art objects from South Asia with tips about how to use them interactively with students. Participants will learn through a hands-on art analysis activity they can bring back to their classrooms. Content will align with 6th grade, 7th grade, 10th grade, and/or AP World History, art history, and visual arts classes, depending on the needs of the participants.

The program will be led by social studies and visual arts teachers who attended the intensive 2022 NEH summer program, Art and Composite Culture in South Asian History. This workshop is organized by ORIAS and sponsored by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
